The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley is for boys and girls ages 6-18, of all ethnicities, races, and creeds. Trained professional staff provide our members with positive adult mentors and role models. Nationally recognized programs help our young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices. Our Clubhouse is a safe and affordable place to learn and grow, all while having fun. Our Club follows the Shelton Public Schools calendar.
Registration is all online, there are no paper forms to fill out. If you would like assistance or do not have access to a computer, we have computers available at our Clubhouse for your use year-round. Please inquire at the Membership Desk. Please allow two days for processing your web registration. Registration is not complete until payment is received. Parents are responsible for confirming that their child's registration is complete.
Shelton grammar schools (Booth Hill, Elizabeth Shelton, Long Hill, Mohegan, Perry Hill, Sunnyside, and Shelton Intermediate) are brought to our Clubhouse by Shelton school bus. If you would like your child to ride a Shelton school bus to our Clubhouse, you must write your school a letter stating that your child has permission to ride the bus for the school year.
Shelton High, Derby public schools, and Seymour public schools are offered van service by our Boys & Girls Club. Van cost is $40 per month (third child free). The first two months must be prepaid, and your child's monthly or yearly tuition must be paid before or when registering for van service. If your child is riding the van to our Clubhouse, you must write your school a letter stating that your child has permission to ride the van for the school year. Vans are first-come, first-served; therefore, van registration must be done in person.

- Complete a Transportation Program Application (download link below) and come in to our Clubhouse to pay for both your child's membership tuition and the first two months of transportation service

The safety of our children is our primary concern; therefore, we do not put our vehicles on the road in bad weather. If there is an early dismissal due to inclement weather, we will not send our vans to the schools (Shelton school buses will still transport). Parents must provide transportation for their children when their school is dismissed early due to inclement weather, and parents must notify the schools of those transportation arrangements. All children will be expected to go home after school if their school has an unscheduled early dismissal (sometimes one school will close because of a unique situation). We will pick children up on all regularly scheduled half days.
