Shelton, CT, February 2025 –The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley is proud to announce the honorees for the 2025 Service to Youth Awards. The Service to Youth Awards bestows the highest honors to individuals and organizations within the community for their unwavering commitment to our youth.
The esteemed awards ceremony will take place on the evening of April 24, 2025, at Il Palio in Shelton, CT—marking the first time the event will be hosted at this esteemed venue. Tickets will go on sale Monday, February 24, 2025. As the Club’s most significant fundraising event of the year, community members are encouraged to attend in celebration of their friends and colleagues who have made a lasting impact on young lives.
2025 Honorees
John Schaible has been selected as the recipient of the Raymond P. Lavietes Service to Youth Award.
Diversified Nonprofit Services, David and Connie Condon will be recognized with the Champion of Youth Award.
Thomas Baklik of The Yankee Clipper Barbershop will be honored with the From The Heart Award.
Samantha Heins has been chosen as the Alumni Hall of Fame Award recipient.
About the Awards
The Raymond P. Lavietes Service to Youth Award is the highest honor the Club can present to an individual, named after beloved Club friend and supporter, Ray Lavietes, who helped make Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley a frontrunner in the provision of services to youth through his dedication and commitment. This award honors an individual or individuals worthy of recognition due to their involvement in serving the youth of our community.
The Champion of Youth Award is the highest honor our Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley can award a company/organization. It is presented to those worthy of recognition due to their involvement in serving the youth of our community. This honor is presented for outstanding leadership and untiring dedication to youth activities, distinguished record in volunteer service with an emphasis on youth, and exceptional support of our Boys & Girls Club.
From the Heart Award is the highest honor Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley can award an individual(s) or an organization who go above and beyond, contributing their time, talent, and/or treasure in ways that directly impact our members. Their special acts of caring are often the touch that makes their chosen program, event, or unit a success.
Alumni Hall of Fame Award recognizes former members and staff for their contributions to society, outstanding leadership, dedication to children, and service to the community and Boys & Girls Clubs.
