A SAFE PLACE.

Their Stories
What backing a kid looks like
Members, families and alumni in their own words.
TEEN MEMBER · YOUTH OF THE YEAR
One moment throughout my journey that made me feel proud of my growth was my first interview during Youth of the Year. I still remember the feeling when I left the room—I felt accomplished. I knew I wasn’t bragging about myself, just sharing my story and who I was at that time. I was proud of how I answered while staying true to myself and my morals.
PARENT / CAREGIVER
Great before/after school programs, along with summer camp. Lots for the kids to do… I don’t know what I would have done without them throughout the years. Their unwavering support was often all I had, and they came through in the most helpful and unexpected ways.
CLUB MEMBER
The Boys & Girls Club is a place where I can be happier, stay out of trouble and become a better person all at once.
CLUB ALUM
85% of staff are alumni. I’m one of them. When the Boys & Girls Club thrives the whole Valley thrives. I could’ve been an alumni with good memories, but I came back and joined the Board because I know exactly what the Club did for me.
