Shelton, CT December 1, 2020 – The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley celebrates Karen Bentlage for recently being named the 2020 recipient of the Richard O’Belden Community Service Award from the Valley Council for Health and Human Services. Karen is a Board of Director for the Boys & Girls Club. Last year, she was awarded the highest honor that the Club bestows on individuals, the 2019 Raymond P. Lavietes Service to Youth Award for her tireless and unselfish efforts to make the Valley a better place for children.
Karen is a successful entrepreneur and visionary, and her dedication to excellence and helping others is apparent in all of her endeavors. She genuinely cares about others and leads by her inspiring example. The Boys & Girls Club feels honored and grateful to have Karen Bentlage as part of the Board of Directors and they congratulate her on this recent and well-deserved honor.
