Shelton, CT, September 3, 2025 – The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 23rd Annual Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race presented by Greco & Haines, a cherished holiday tradition that unites the Valley community year after year.

“From its humble beginnings, the Commodore Hull 5K Road Race has grown into a sought-after and meaningful event on Thanksgiving morning,” says Jimmy Tickey, Chair of the Commodore Hull Road Race. “We look forward to starting our holiday with this All-American Valley tradition alongside nearly 1,000 runners and their families.”

The race kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Shelton, winds through Derby, and loops back to Shelton—treating participants to a scenic course through the historic downtowns of both cities.

Registration details:

• $35 – Ages 19–69 (increases to $40 on November 1)

• $20 – Under 18

• Free – Ages 70+
  Race shirts and bibs are guaranteed only for runners who register by November 18, 2025. With a cap on participants, early registration is strongly encouraged to secure your spot.
