Shelton, CT – September 3, 2025 – The countdown is on! With just one month until the 23rd Annual Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race, the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley is inviting walkers, joggers and runners of all ages to register now for this cherished Thanksgiving morning tradition. Presented by Greco & Haines, the race brings together nearly 1,000 runners and their families from across the Valley for a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit.
“From its humble beginnings, the Commodore Hull 5K Road Race has grown into a sought-after and meaningful Thanksgiving tradition,” says Jimmy Tickey, Chair of the race. “We can’t wait to start the holiday alongside participants—so don’t wait to sign up!”
The race begins at 8:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Shelton, winds through Derby, and loops back to Shelton, offering a scenic course through the historic downtowns.
