Coleman Bros. is bringing its spring carnival back to Shelton on May 11, and proceeds from the event will help support the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
The carnival runs from Thursday, May 11, through Sunday, May 21. Classic carnival rides like the merry-go-round and the Ferris Wheel will be available, as well as attractions like a slide, swings, the Sizzler, Tilt-a-Whirl, and Mardi-Gras themed funhouse. Food is available for purchase throughout the carnival, with such favorites as fried dough, candy apples, and cotton candy. Games of chance will thrill young and old alike with the chance to take home a prize.
Held at Veteran’s Park, 83 Canal Street East in Shelton, the carnival opens at 6 pm Monday-Friday and 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $2, and ride tickets cost $1.25 each, or you can purchase 20 tickets for $25 or 50 for $60. Wristbands cost $35, and every day is wristband day. Rides take 3-4 tickets each.
